Photography

I love photography. Coming from graphic design it almost feels like cheating, being able to just capture the natural beauty that exists never really feels like I can fully take credit for the end result. I always wanted to understand technical photography, but it completely eluded me for a very long time. When mobile phone cameras got awesome a few years ago, and inspired by Kevin Russ, I started taking a lot more pictures. Then a family friend gave me his old 5D Mk1 body, at which time I decided to put it on full manual and leave it there until I figured it out. I shot in full manual with a bunch of manual Soviet prime lenses for a long time. I have since graduated to a few nice modern lenses with fancy features like images stabilization, and zooming, as well as some studio lighting setups. I often miss the old primes. The following is a collection of some of my favorite shots.
